At Sea Enroute to Dubai - April 3, 2012

We are at sea are crossing the Arabian Sea from India to U.A.E.  April 5 will be the end of a segment for those passengers who arrived in Hong Kong or Singapore.  We haven’t heard how many people will be disembarking in Dubai but we imagine quite a few.

The lecturers have been quite interesting.  We’ve learned about the Cold War spies from view of both East & West.  The former BBC Correspondent Margaret Gilmore spoke on Terrorism threats.  On a completely different topic, there were lecturers on the life and music of Johnny Mercer, Oscar Hammerstein and Al Jolson.

Most interesting was the Commander from the Royal Navy on piracy in the Arabian Sea and through the Suez Canal.  This was standing room only as everyone’s personal interest in safety was of concern.  Definitely did not know how much was happening in this sea.  Much is available on the internet but who’s looking for it?!  I don’t know what is happening with our internet but I’m beginning to suspect people are out looking at the websites provided in the lecture!

Our clocks go back yet one more hour tonight!  It is early morning on April 4 and thought I'd post a few pictures if the internet will cooperate at this early hour.......
